Thanks so much for (hopefully) stopping by!
I decided that I should be sharing my life on the internet, as most crazy people do at one point or another. Now, it's been a couple weeks since I made this decision and actually made this blog.
You guys, picking the name was the hardest part!
Ahh!! I couldn't decide if it should be more farm/ranch or faith or parenting related.
So I'm Patten on the Prairie. Think Little House on the Prairie. But modern. And Catholic. And slightly hippie dippie. I do tend to march to the beat of my own drum.
My name is Michelle. My husband is Matthew and we have a daughter Lillian aka Lily aka Lily Marie aka Stinker Butt aka Tooter aka Sweet Pea.
I'll set the scene: raised on a dairy farm in northern Minnesota. Drug KICKING AND SCREAMING to southeastern Montana to a cattle ranch. In 2014 I actually marry this goofy kid I met at age thirteen, who I graduated high school with. We move home in 2015 to help his family on the ranch. We have one baby girl in April 2016 and will probably have more!!
I raise a garden, have chickens, bum calves and bum lambs. We have a barn cat and a cow dog.
We also have a small heard of Black Angus cattle and we absolutely love the ranching life, despite the constant struggles. I mean. The struggle is real....
So I sort of wanted an outlet! I'll share about everything and anything, so be prepared for something a little eclectic. I hope you enjoy, and I'd love to hear your comments or questions!
