Welcome!
We're so glad you stopped by.
We are The Pattens. A family of three (for now) who live and ranch in southeastern Montana. I (Michelle) am a stay-at-home mom, bookkeeper, rancher/ranch wife, devoted Catholic, DIY-er, gardener, league bowler, occasional golfer and avid book reader. I think that covers it all... My husband Matthew is a full-time electrician who finds time to ranch, fish, hunt, help me with DIY projects and occasionally attend mass. Did I mention we met when we were 13? We're super cheesy like that. We have a 1 year-old daughter, Lillian Marie, aka Lily, aka Tooter. She's an animal-loving spitfire! We have a dog, Honey, a cat, Rango, chickens and always a few bum critters (calves or lambs).
Matt and I ranch on my father-in-law's place where we run (mostly) black angus cow-calf pairs. We also raise alfalfa and grass hay for feeding our cattle. We moved home in 2015 so we could raise our children the way we grew up. We couldn't see ourselves doing anything else.
I was raised Catholic. I fell away from the Church for a time in college, but thankfully found my way back. Matt and I were married in the Church and Lillian is baptized as well. I am working on living the most honest and holy life I can.
